Cameron Happenings
Excitement Brewing at Cameron! Those of you who have been to Cameron Community Ministries have seen the boarded up derelict house that borders Cameron’s driveway. The City of Rochester is in the condemnation process leading to demolition, with Cameron then acquiring title to the lot. It has long been a dream of our own Cindy Harper, Cameron‘s Executive Director, to build a playground for the children that Cameron serves. Needless to say, the children are extremely excited. Fundraising for playground costs has already begun – go to www.cameronministries.org to make a special donation, or send your check directly to Cameron at 48 Cameron Street, Rochester 14606.

Cameron Sunday Celebration Supper: Sunday, October 16th a Christ Clarion crew of nine provided a brief worship and served supper to about 75-80 men, women and children from the neighborhood around Cameron Community Ministries located near the corner of Lyell and Cameron streets. The meal of hot Sloppy Joe sandwiches, salad and dessert provided by Christ Clarion members was much appreciated.
Christ Clarion helps children of Cameron neighborhood. Supplies arriving at in August and September were quickly distributed to both the children in all Cameron youth programs as well as teachers at nearby School #30 who are often faced with purchasing materials themselves. Each child received a school bag filled with supplies and were so excited - thank you again for helping children in this neighborhood get off to a great start to school this year!
Coats for Cameron: Imagine trying to make it through a Rochester winter without a decent winter coat! Help those who have no other choice by donating gently used winter coats and accessories.
